Viktoria Sorochinski was born in Ukraine -1979, left the USSR with her parents in 1990.  After living in Israel, she continued her studies of Fine Arts in Montreal, then in New York City, where she acquired her Masters of Fine Arts in 2008. Currently living and working in Germany – Berlin.

For centuries, the traditions and myths of all people have been guarded by their "land people": by villagers.  Nowadays, the culture of living from the gifts of the land is in dramatic decline. All over the world people tend to migrate to cities, leaving the life conditions in the villages increasingly poor. This tendency is most evident in certain countries, such as Ukraine.
